1. Product Overview
Fiberglass flat strips (also known as FRP/GRP flat bars or fiberglass battens) are continuously pultruded profiles made from high-purity E-glass fiber rovings impregnated with thermosetting resins such as polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy, or phenolic. The reinforcement fibers—roving, continuous mat, or woven roving—are drawn through a resin bath and pulled through a heated die to polymerize the resin, forming a solid rectangular section of consistent quality and virtually unlimited length. The resulting flat profiles offer a combination of mechanical properties exceeding those of metal on a pound-for-pound basis, while remaining lightweight, non-conductive, and maintenance-free.
